Our Assistant Vice President will be responsible for supporting the Public Relations Department by providing the following services:  Offer top tier, national media relations and media counsel to clients and staff.  Work to proactively place favorable stories and develop strong placement track record.  Develop and execute media strategy and programming recommendations in support of a variety of clients.  Develop and implement creative strategic programs that produce superior media and business results for clients.  Leverage traditional media as well as digital/social media for PR programming and influencer outreach.  Monitor projects to ensure that deadlines and quality standards are met.  Set and meet campaign measurement and evaluation criteria.  Identify the training and development needs of junior staff and provides opportunities which enable staff members to reach their full potential.   Our ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:  5+ years of agency experience.  Proven results executing campaigns that leverage traditional, broadcast, social and digital media.  Successful track record in securing media placements for clients  Experience managing multiple deadlines and a variety of projects simultaneously.   This individual should possess the following characteristics:  Superior interpersonal skills  Proactive mindset  Collaborative nature  Results driven  Detail oriented  Strong work ethic   About JConnelly JConnelly is a proven leader in building, promoting and protecting corporate and personal brands. Provides strategic communications counsel to clients regarding campaign initiatives.  Designs and delivers strategic PR plans and campaign development—utilizing traditional, broadcast, social and digital media. Executes strategic priorities for clients.  Identifies and secures high-level media placements for clients.  Oversees new client onboarding: including running discovery and analysis meetings, coordinating and conducting media training, coordinating delivery of messaging and communicating account details to other departments (media analysis, operations, etc.). Develops unique story angles as well as systematic and strategic pitches to generate client exposure.  Develops, builds and expands effective professional relationships with key media.  Managesteam members’ business development efforts.  Notifies media analysis team of scheduled interviews and client submissions (bylines, Q&As, etc.).  Acts as a steward of the JConnelly brand, consistently representing and reflecting the Company’s core values, approach and high standards of excellence in all client, media and public interactions.  Performs other duties as assigned.
