Our Vice President will be responsible for supporting the Public Relations Department by providing the following services:
Functions as the point of contact for public relations initiatives.
Maintains ongoing communication and other interaction with clients. Provides strategic communications counsel to clients regarding campaign initiatives.
Designs and delivers strategic PR plans and campaign development—utilizing traditional, broadcast, social and digital media. Executes strategic priorities for clients.
Identifies and secures high-level media placements for clients.
Oversees new client onboarding: including running discovery and analysis meetings, coordinating and conducting media training, coordinating delivery of messaging and communicating account details to other departments (media analysis, operations, etc.). Develops unique story angles as well as systematic and strategic pitches to generate client exposure.
Develops, builds and expands effective professional relationships with key media.
Managesteam members’ business development efforts.
Notifies media analysis team of scheduled interviews and client submissions (bylines, Q&As, etc.).
Acts as a steward of the JConnelly brand, consistently representing and reflecting the Company’s core values, approach and high standards of excellence in all client, media and public interactions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:
Minimum 7-10 years successful industry-related experience, with an emphasis on client relationships with major accounts.
Proven ability to proactively determine client needs, develop new ideas, and recommend appropriate strategies and initiatives.
Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and deductive reasoning skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills.
Well-organized and detail-oriented with proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
Working knowledge of various software applications including word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.
College degree or equivalent related business experience.
Serves as the lead liaison with clients
Manages and coaches team and provides direction and feedback
Maintains relationships with the other JConnelly operational teams (Marketing, Video)
